Artist statement
For artist Matthew Lloyd the attraction of extremes in life’s elements when reached into a terminal state, act as a main voice for his works. The Portrayal of such extreme impressions, extend to reveal different aspects of their whole spectrum, creating duellist arguments, encased in dichotomy that reveal multiple visions. Amusement and sombre disposition help to achieve these juxtapositions, with intentional stripped back simplistic visuals acting as a tool to hide the complexity hidden within.
